Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo dismiss feud rumour after songwriting credit row
Taylor Swift has put to bed all rumours of a rift between her and Olivia Rodrigo at the Grammys 2024.
The chart-topping star quashed any talk of the two not being on good terms when she was seen dancing and singing along while Olivia performed her hit Vampire at the show. Taylor was in fact reportedly one of the only people standing up for Olivia as she belted out the popular track.
Taylor then applauded the performance from Olivia as she wrapped her set and enthusiastically flung her arms in the air. Olivia was also seen returning the favour and cheering for Taylor as she accepted her award for Best Pop Vocal Album and delighted fans by announcing she has another album in the works.

They said: “They’re both huge stars, so they’ll both be in the front row — but I can’t see them being too close together.”

Olivia's friendship with Taylor - who she once called her "hero" - was thought to have become strained when she had to hand over songwriting credits to her and her co-writer Jack Antonoff for two songs from her album Sour. The ruling came when her tracks Step Forward, 3 Steps Back and Deja Vu were deemed to have similarities to Taylor's hits New Years Day and Cruel Summer.
At the time she reportedly had the shell out huge sums of money after retroactively giving other singers and songwriters credits on some of her most popular songs after a resemblance was spotted. Olivia addressed rumours of tension between the two stars in a chat with Rolling Stone last September.

I have my four friends and my mom, and that’s really the only people I talk to, ever. There’s nothing to say. There’s so many Twitter conspiracy theories. I only look at alien-conspiracy theories.”
Meanwhile, Taylor made history at The Grammys as she became the first artist to win the Grammy Award for Best Album for a fourth time. The Shake It Off hitmaker, 34, took home the prize for her album Midnights, having previously won for Fearless (2010), 1989 (2016) and Folklore (2021). As she accepted the award, Taylor called her team to come to her side, before thanking everyone who made the album a success.
She said: "I would love to say this is the happiest moment of my life... but I feel this happy when I finish a song... For me the reward is the work... All I want to do is keep doing this, so thanks so much for giving me the opportunity. Mind blown."
