Hollyoaks viewers left reeling over 'death twist' in shooting aftermath
Hollyoaks fans were left panicked over a possible death on the Channel 4 soap, as scenes between Warren Fox, Felix Westwood and Mercedes McQueen reached a dramatic twist.
Warren's revenge on Felix over the death of his daughter Ella Richardson led to a shooting, with fans fearing the worst. Just days on from the men finding out they were both the father of Mercedes' unborn children in a soap first, there was a deadly showdown.
Ella was recently killed when she was hit by a car driven by Ste Hay, with the incident leading to a number of other vehicles colliding too. Felix was blamed for the crash and the deaths as he was driving recklessly, and no one has realised Ste was even there.
Warren is desperate to kill Felix for revenge over Ella's death, and while pretending to have forgiven him he planned his brutal murder in the woods. The plan backfired though, as Felix realised what was going on and stole the gun.
As they confronted each other, Felix declared there was only one way their feud could end as he raised the weapon and pointed it at Warren. But not wanting to die, Warren ran at Felix to stop him but after a struggle, the gun went off.

Hollyoaks viewers were left fearing for two major characters (Lime Pictures)Those watching at E4 pace have yet to see the fallout or what happened next. Friday's episode ended on a cliffhanger, with it not shown who had been shot - and now fans are fearing the worst.
Even those viewers who have seen the next episode are fearing for Warren and Felix, believing one of them will die after a sinister threat. Taking to X, one viewer posted: "well i assume warren is the one that gets shot because spoiler photos show that he’s in a hospital gown next week??"
Another posted: "Both of them better not be dead." A third tweeted: "god I hope Warren and felix walk away from this, don't want either of them to die," as a fourth said: "Ooo I thought it would be felix."
So will the men make it out alive, or will one of them end up killing the other at some point? It comes after a soap first weeks after Felix found out Mercedes had cheated on him with Warren.
Mercedes finally discovered the identity of the father of her unborn twins and it was truly a shocking reveal. She asked Warren and Felix to come and see her at the bridge, and then she confirmed they are both going to be fathers.
"Two babies. Two dads. ‘Congratulations. We are having twins!’ In other words, Felix is the father one baby and Warren is the father of the other!" she explained to the pair, who were very confused by what was going on.
This is known as Heteropaternal superfecundation and whilst it is very rare in human cases, it can happen and it has been documented in the past. This happens when a mother releases two eggs during ovulation, and those eggs are both fertilised by the sperm of two different men. While the twins share the same biological mother, the biological father of each baby is different.
