Putin’s humiliation as £55million warship ‘sunk by kamikaze sea drone’
Ukraine claimed today to have sunk another Russian warship in an attack by a kamikaze sea drone.
Footage showed a dramatic attack on the £55 million Black Sea missile ship Ivanovets which was hit by multiple drones off annexed Crimea. The fate of the crew, who resisted the attack and shot at the dunes, is not known but at least 33 are feared dead. "As a result of a number of direct hits to the hull, the Russian ship received damage that was incompatible with further movement - the Ivanovets tilted to the stern and sank", said Military Informant Telegram channel.

The Russians have not officially confirmed the strike, but pro-Putin war Telegram channels have done so. One reported: “We must give credit to the crew. Multiple drones are believed to have staged the attack from the sea near Odessa. Up to nine drones were dispatched. The operation was spearheaded by Group 13 special forces of the Ukrainian GUR military intelligence agency. If confirmed, the Ivanovets is the latest Putin warship to be sunk. The list includes the Moskva cruiser, Black Sea Fleet flagship which was sunk by Neptune missiles in April 2022.
