Love Island's Joanna and Georgia Steel's fallout exposed after frosty reception

Joanna Chimonides's secret fallout off-screen with Georgia Steel has been exposed.

The two Love Island stars were thought to be close friends and previously regularly posted each other all over their social media channels. However, fans pointed out that during Joanna's first episode in the villa, Georgia S barely spoke to the new bombshell, who arrived with series nine star Casey O'Gorman.

Former Love Island stars Francesca Allen and Elma Pazar, who both appeared in series five, which was the same series as Joanna, alongside series nine star Olivia Hawkins explained why there was a frosty reception from Georgia S. Discussing Joanna's decision on who she plans to get close to, Elma said: "If she picks Callum that will be World War Three with her and [Georgia] because [Georgia] was really close with her."

Olivia remarked: "You know what is so hard? Going in there you have to put friendship aside," and Elma agreed: "It's the aim of the game."

Confirming the former close pals had fallen out, Francesca said: "They were really close, they were friends and then they had a little bit of a row and I don't think they've spoken much since then so I don't know if Jo is going to really care as much to 'steal her man'."

Olivia said: "If I was giving Jo advice going in I'd say just do you," as Elma added: "I feel like as someone who is going in as an All Star you would just be doing you."

"You'd have to because say her [Joanna] and [Georgia] weren't speaking in two months then she'd be like, 'Why did I do that?' You've just got to do what you've got to do," Olivia quipped. Love Island viewers picked up on the awkward atmosphere between Georgia and Joanna after the new bombshell arrived in the villa.

One wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "What’s the beef between Georgia and Joanna cause I swear they were best mates #loveisland." Someone else tweeted: "I thought Georgia S & Joanna were friends on the outside, so why haven’t been near each other? #LoveIslandAllStars #LoveIsland."

Last I heard they were housemates and besties but they don’t even seem to have spoken in this episode #LoveIsland #LoveIslandAllStars."
