Strictly's Anton du Beke 'banned' from Loose Women after making huge error

Anton du Beke was told off by Ruth Langsford on Loose Women today after making a huge error.

The Strictly Come Dancing judge was a guest star on today's edition of the ITV lunchtime show, where he chatted with panellists including his former Strictly partner Ruth Langsford about the BBC show's tour and being a dad.

As part of his segment on the show, he revealed all about behind the scenes on the BBC show's live tour, before heading into the audience to answer their questions about his career and time on Strictly so far.

At the end of his part on the show, Ruth said she had one more question for him before asking how much people could win in the new ITV daytime competition. Anton very proudly said it was £900,000 before Ruth jumped in to quickly confirm it was actually £90,000 that viewers at home who took part might be able to win.

She then joked he would never be allowed back in there, as he laughed at his own mistake. The panellists then handed over to Gok Wan, who told viewers all about the prize they could win.

Anton has been busy working on the Strictly Come Dancing live tour alongside fellow judges Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas. During the chat, he also opened up about his hair transplant and showed off his new look.

Speaking about the hair transplant previously, he revealed: "I started to lose my hair a few years ago… Every time I looked in the mirror it’s all I could see. It is a painful procedure... it doesn’t hurt as much as looking into the mirror and seeing your hairline disappearing. It does in certain aspects [dent my confidence], not as a performer.. in normal life.

"You’re either ok with it or you’re not ok with it so if you know you’re not ok with it then, for me, it was a case of do something about it. I had a period of time when I tried to do all my photos in profile… It’s sort of always on your mind. It starts to consume you."

He added: "It immediately transformed my life. All of that stuff that was going on went away. I owned it, I would talk about it... I had no interest in pretending. I wanted to go 'look, I’ve had a bit of crop rotation, I’ve ripped a bit from the back and shoved it on the front.'"
