Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are in the middle of another Royal Family row after what experts are calling a "provocative" move against King Charles III.

The couple made a sparkling appearance on the red carpet at the premiere of Bob Marley: One Love in Jamaica, meeting up with two individuals who are thought to be plotting the end of His Majesty The King's rule there as head of state.

The former working royals were seen cosying up to the Caribbean isle's minister for legal and constitutional affairs Marlene Malahoo Forte who had previously vowed to "sever ties" with the British monarchy, saying that the "time is now".

Meghan and Harry also posed for a smiling snap with prime minister Andrew Holness and his wife Juliet. Holness famously 'ambushed' Prince William and wife Kate Middleton during their trip to the Caribbean, telling them the country was to "move on".

It's not known who invited the Duke and Duchess to the glitzy red carpet event, but one royal expert says the move was "clumsy and very provocative behaviour". Author Ingrid Seward explained: "They don’t seem to care any more about what they say or do."

"Meghan certainly doesn’t care and Harry doesn’t understand the implications of his actions," she said, per The Sun. If Harry doesn’t want to be responsible for the princely status, he should renounce it. This plays very badly.

"It could be seen as Harry endorsing the move to remove the King. Harry really does just stumble from one PR blunder to another." Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams added: "Harry and Meghan posing with these people — bearing in mind what happened with William and Catherine and movements towards a republic — they know perfectly well what they are doing. It is an ambiguity of behaviour because they know Jamaica intends to become a republic but should not act as flag-wavers for it.

"This is a calculated photo opportunity. Their appearance there suddenly, especially at a time when the Royal Family is not at its strongest, can be construed in ways that might be helpful to the republican movement, and that is deplorable and calculated and one of the many reasons why they can’t be trusted."

Prince Harry is reportedly filled with "guilt and regret" at being halfway around the world when the Royal Family need him most. It was unexpectedly announced last week that the Princess of Wales had undergone major abdominal surgery at a private hospital in London, and would be recovering for up to two weeks. Royal fans were dealt another blow when Buckingham Palace revealed His Majesty King Charles III would also be admitted to hospital to have a procedure on an enlarged prostate.

It has been rumoured Meghan and Harry were planning on heading back to the UK this year in an effort to repair the fractured relationship they have with other senior members of the Royal Family, and Kate’s hospitalisation has put things into perspective for Harry. The Princess of Wales is due to spend 14 days recovering after major abdominal surgery, and 39-year-old Harry is feeling guilty and emotional for not being there for his family.

"Harry has been doing a lot of soul searching in the wake of this news, which caught him and Meghan totally off-guard and left them both in a state of shock," a source told heat magazine. The Duke of Sussex is now "taking a huge step back" and "totally reassessing his feelings" towards his father Charles, big brother William, and sister-in-law Kate. "It's stirred up a lot of guilt and regret," the source explained.
