Five years after he first entered the Love Island villa, Anton Danyluk will be making his return in the All-Stars spin-off, and many long-time viewers may be wondering whether or not there'll be any more drama in store.

The 29-year-old gym owner has found himself in a fair few heated situations over the years, including an excrutiatingly tense reunion moment with Love Island icon Molly-Mae Hague after he decided to unfollow her on Instagram.

As Lanarkshire-born Anton heads back to the villa in search of love, we take a look at some of his more fiery moments, from battling cheating rumours, to the reason he'd no longer on speaking terms with any of his fellow contestants, aside from Anna Vakili.

Molly-Mae row

It's no secret that Anton and Molly-Mae aren't exactly the best of friends, with Anton more or less immediately unfollowing the influencer as soon as they were back in the UK. Things seemed to go downhill from the moment Maura Higgins entered the villa, and made her interest known in Molly's now-fiancé Tommy Fury.

As Molly seethed in the kitchen, Anton was less than sympathetic, accusing her of stringing both him and Tommy along while getting to know Danny Williams. Not holding back, Anton told her: "At the end of the day, you should have made it very clear to him (Tommy) and clear to me."

Molly, now 24, tried to defend her approach, explaining: "I do struggle with being open and honest about how I feel until I categorically know..." Anton wasn't having any of it however, accusing Molly of only wanting Tommy because Maura had entered the scene. As fellow housemates looked on with some discomfort, Anton lashed out: "So you categorically know after a few hours because someone has come into the place? You've made your bed, now lie in it."

The pair kept their distance from each other from that point onward, but a number of viewers suspected the angry exchange hadn't been forgotten, especially when Molly Mae managed to get Tommy to confess that Anton had given his number to a Spanish checkout girl during a trip to the supermarket, in an act some regarded as sabotage. For many, this was confirmed when Molly voted off Anton and Belle Hassan, in what Belle perceived as a case of voting off the competition.

Things came to a head during a castmate reunion, when Anton once again stated that, while he had gotten along well with other fifth season Islanders, he and Molly had barely exchanged a word. He also went on to accuse the PrettyLittleThing ambassador of playing a game.

Molly looked anything but impressed as Anton said: "I'm sure Molly will agree with this, we never really spoke in the villa, we never even spoke." Keeping quiet at first, Molly hit back: "I mean, I didn't think you weren't a friend of mine, I'm not gonna lie. I thought we were friends."

In what some viewed as an attempt to insist the feud wasn't just one-sided, Anton replied: "No, no we had the conversation, remember and someone came up to us like, 'is this a chat, how weird is that?'... remember? So we never even had chats, there were times when we were in the room together and we never had chats." Taking a different view, Molly responded: "Yeah, but... we weren't the closest, but I wouldn't have said we weren't friends."

In a separate interview with The Sun, Anton revealed: "I have nothing against her, we just didn't speak in the villa. We would be in the same room and wouldn't say a word to each other. A lot of people think it's because they voted us out but that's nothing to do with it, we just never got on. We just never clicked and she didn't like it after I put her in her place earlier in the show. But I got on with everyone else really well."

False cheating rumours

After leaving the villa, Anton was forced to deny rumours he'd cheated on Belle, after footage emerged of him kissing a girl in a nightclub. It soon emerged however, that the video was taken some years before, when Anton was just 18. At the time, a representative for Anton told Mirror Online: "There is a video circulating regarding our client Anton Danyluk. It was filmed when he was 18 of him kissing a girl in a nightclub. The person trying to sell the video is alleging he cheated on Belle which is categorically not true - the video was six years ago!"

Anton and Belle decided to call it quits five weeks after leaving the show as a couple, with make-up artist Belle reportedly getting fed up with Anton 'disrespecting' their fledgling romance during a lads’ holiday in Ibiza. A source told The Sun: "Belle has seen all the pictures and videos of Anton in Ibiza and now just wants out. She feels he's disrespecting their relationship and can't see him changing his ways."

Belle reportedly also became uncomfortable with Anton's apparent 'obsession' with Craig David, who he reunited with during the Ibiza trip. the source continued: "His obsession with Craig David also made her feel awkward. He seemed to be more excited about reuniting with Craig than speaking to her."

The pair did however maintain a friendship following the split, and there appears to be no hard feelings. In 2019, Belle told the Mirror: "Do you know what, we still speak all the time, we're still really close. I think we're closer now than we've ever been before. So you know we'll just see. We're good friends so if something comes of it, something comes of it, if it doesn't then we'll be good friends”

Blasting former castmates

In 2021, Anton made his feelings about his former castmates crystal clear, remarking that he no longer speaks to any of them, aside from Anna Vakili, as he believed they'd 'forgot where they came from'. In an interview on CASA Spin podcast, Anton said: "People come off the show, get their blue tick, get their million followers and go so far up their a**** it's unbelievable. It's quite sad but at the same time I always appreciate the journey I had with the people in there."

Addressing the comments in an interview with Closer, fellow Islander Amber Gill declared: "I'm going to unfollow him right now." Urging Anton to list actual names rather than tar everyone with the same brush, she added: "I don't think he was talking about me. I feel like he wouldn't say that about me. It would be stupid to say something like that about me because it's just not true."

Taking a more understanding view of where Anton was coming from, Anna confessed: "There's a lot of people that do come out of the villa and just think that they're God's gift and they're too famous. I hate that. I'm the same person that I was when I went into the villa."
