Bodybuilder's odd meal leaves people reeling as he 'eats like an XL bully'
Bodybuilders have long paved the way for unusual diets (fish and rice cake guy, we're looking at you).
Those wanting to take their muscular physique to competition level often follow strict high-protein diets with little to no carbs such as bread and pasta and frequently visit the gym to weight train. However, Eddie Abbew, a former bodybuilding champion and psychiatric nurse has sparked controversy after sharing one of his recipes.
Abbew has amassed more than 1.4 million followers on Instagram, where he provides nutritional advice and recipe inspiration. But in his latest video, he has been described as eating 'like an XL bully'.
In the now-viral post, the internet personality fries up onions with some chicken thighs with the skin left on. He seasons the dish with paprika, nutmeg, and cinnamon, before adding garlic, mushrooms, tomatoes, ginger, and avocado.
Sounds pretty tasty, right? But Abbew then adds sprouts and blueberries (yes, you read that right) to the dish before adding a 'little bit of water' and covering the pan for all the food to cook. He then adds 'a few eggs' before serving.

"All I'm trying to say is nutrition is simple. You don't have to eat all that colourful s**t because it's not good for you," Abbew said. "Eat real food. You'll feel better.

Hundreds took to the comments section to give their thoughts on the 'mad concoction'. "Uncle doing way too much….eating like an XL Bully," one user wrote.
Another commented: "Uncle emptied his entire fridge in one pot added egg and said enjoy." While a third added: "That looks absolutely disgusting. Nutmeg and cinnamon were kinda iffy but then avocado and blueberries? Vile."
In a separate video, Abbew revealed he used to eat 38 eggs a day when he was trying to build muscle but now consumes between 10-16. "It was explained to me that eggs were the best protein source for muscle building," he said.
"It worked well too! I built lots of muscle naturally, and my strength went through the roof in a short time. Stop eating artificial protein products and eat real good."
