Holly Willoughby has received the support from her famous friends as she makes her return to TV.

The presenter is marking her return to screens for Dancing On Ice alongside Stephen Mulhern, who has replaced Phillip Schofield. She has been off air since October last year when she stepped down from her role on This Morning after 14 years. Holly took to her Instagram account to share a snap of her outfit for her much-anticipated comeback.

She stunned in a shimmery silver gown and wrote: " Dancing on Ice series 16! … Let’s do this 1 sequin at a time @dancingonice @itv 6:30pm." Holly was quickly shown the support of her celebrity pals. Model and TV presenter Abbey Clancy said: "Shine bright gorgeous."

Broadcaster Kate Thornton penned: "Enjoy it!! X." Back in October, Holly took to her social media where she confirmed she would be stepping down from This Morning with immediate effect. She wrote: "I've let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning. To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we've done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you."

Holly added: "Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You've been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day. Richard and Judy said 'we only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers'. It's been an honour to just be part of it's story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family."

She decided to step away from the daytime show after a plot to kidnap and murder her was foiled by police. It prompted speculation that she would leave the broadcaster altogether - until bosses confirmed her comeback to the rink on December 27. Announcing she will be co-hosting the competition alongside Stephen Mulhern, Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment commissioning at ITV, said: "Holly and Stephen are two of our best loved presenters, so reuniting them 20 years after they first appeared on screen together to host Dancing On Ice marks the start of an exciting year for the show."
