Strictly Come Dancing winners - and rumoured couple - Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola have revealed they've made a promise to one another now they've won the BBC dancing show

Strictly Come Dancing winners Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola dodged questions about their rumoured romance this week but did reveal they've made a promise to one another.

The pair have been rumoured to be dating after meeting on the BBC Latin and ballroom show and now they have revealed the promise they made to one another and the sweet tribute they have planned. The Strictly winners appeared on This Morning today and confirmed they'd be joining the ITV show for a special to teach other couples to dance. Announcing the news, Ellie said: "We are so so excited! Well, I’m apparently turning into a teacher, I don’t know how you feel about that! But we are going to basically give three couples some dancing lessons.

"You know when a couple can have an event, a wedding or birthday or something where you’re always trying to get one of them up to dance… my mum’s always saying that to my dad and he’s like ‘I’m not dancing, I’m not dancing’, so we’re going to show couples some moves!" Vito added: "Anyone can dance and everyone has to dance."

Ellie then went on to speak about how dancing changed her, adding: "Dancing has become a huge part of my life and something that I really, really fell in love with and if we can help people feel the same way then it's amazing." During the interview, This Morning host Craig Doyle asked if their friendship had blossomed into a romance, but didn't get a direct response from either Ellie or Vito. Although neither directly responded to Craig's question, they did reveal their plan to get matching tattoos and added that they'd made a promise to one another, sharing: "We have a great, great relationship and we are going to have… it was a promise."

Ellie added: "Yes, we made a promise weeks ago - we had a little joke - ‘if we make it to the final, why don’t we get a tattoo?' - but we didn’t expect to get there. And that will be the symbol of our bond and our friendship that we’ve made over Strictly." The pair get on incredibly well and have always shared a special "bond" since first meeting.

"Honestly we’ve just been having the most amazing time. We’ve built a really strong bond and a friendship that will last forever," Ellie said, and Vito added: "I wanted to say the word bond. We had a good bond. You see a person and connect with the person straight away. I’m a first impression person and when we met, straight away we had this feeling that we’ve known each other a long time."
