A mum-of-three collapsed and died whilst going for a check up days after undergoing a Brazilian bum-lift in Turkey.

Demi Agoglia complained of chest pains hours before her death and suffered a heart attack in a taxi on the way to a clinic. Her desperate boyfriend Bradley Jones tried to save the 26-year-old's life and after he gave her CPR, she was rushed into intensive care.

But medics in Istanbul were unable to bring her around and she was pronounced dead on Monday, hours before she was due to fly home to Salford, Manchester. The tragic woman gave birth to her third child just seven months ago and had previously flown to the country from dental work.

Her heartbroken brother Carl, 37, says the family and her partner had previously pleaded with her not to go and have the cosmetic surgery. He told The Sun: "It is tragic, we are just in shock. No one wanted her to go out and have it done but she is one of those people.

"If anyone is thinking of flying to Turkey for an operation I would say don't do it, even her boyfriend didn't want her to do it." Her sibling says her heartbroken partner is still out there and that and his family members have flown out to be with him. He must obtain a death certificate before her body can come home.

Her younger sister Georgina posted a tribute video of Demi on TikTok. She wrote: "I lost my sister yesterday. I miss you so much Demi. Nothing feels real anymore. How can you be gone. Just wanna hear you shout alright Rkid nothing with ever be the same without you I love you Demi x."

Demi's death comes after a Mirror probe last month revealed a Turkish medical company is offering cheap plastic surgery sparking safety fears for British patients- though there is no suggestion her trip was prompted by the promotion. The deals were promoted at an event in Hull, where dental and cosmetics firm Magic Touch offered free consultations to people interested in travelling to Turkey for treatment.

Our reporter enquired about having a Brazilian Butt Lift. At least three Brits have died having gone to Turkey for the procedure. In a 30-minute consultation, “patient co-ordinator” Sevil admitted having no medical credentials, yet brazenly outlined a treatment plan for our reporter to have “bum implants”.

She offered a discount on flights and advised booking by January to avoid price rises, saying the operation could be done as soon as December 22. Sevil said: “It’s better to come before next year because there is a change – at the beginning of next year they change the price of the hospital.” She said prices could go up by 10%. She said buttock-enlarging was “very popular” in Turkey as it is “expensive in the UK”, and insisted implants “never” went wrong, despite a string of serious risks associated with it.

Professor Mani Ragbir, President of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, said he was “very, very concerned” about our findings. He said: “We should not be bombarding people into surgery. Telling you that if you come now you will avoid a price increase next month is not the sort of thing we advocate or are happy with. It’s just bad practice.” Risks that should have been highlighted include the possibility of an embolism, infection, bleeding, scars, wound-healing problems and “asymmetry” in the buttocks.
