Britain's 'most tattooed' man desperate to get leg amputated in extreme body mod
Britain's most tattooed man wants a surgeon to change his body in a way he "can't stop thinking about."
'King Of Inkland King Body Art', formerly known as Matthew Whelan, has had extensive artwork on pretty much every inch of skin on his body. Not only has he spent thousands on tattoos, but he's had his nipples removed too. Now he says he wants to go one step further.
The 43-year-old, from Birmingham, is now searching for a surgeon who is willing to remove one of his limbs – and he believes no one should be able to stop him. Previously, Matthew wanted to have his toe removed, but is now looking into something more extreme.
Known to his Instagram fans as B-Art, he left people stunned when he shared a post asking for advice to find a surgeon who will remove his leg. The post, which was shared across his social media platforms, followed a video he shared to TikTok a few weeks ago showing how a leg amputation is performed, describing it as "absolutely fascinating."
Speaking about his search to find a surgeon, B-Art argues that he should be able to make decisions about his own body. He said: "Body modification, whether piercings, tattoo, scarification, amputation/removals are all done for different reasons for different people.

"At the end of the day, if you wouldn't doubt someone if they said they weren't born in the body they need and wanted to transition, it's exactly the same with modifying your body with body mods."
"Obviously with extreme ones like limbs, it's not something that's just done as a quick thought. But it's your body, and if you want to do something to it no one should be able to tell you no. Body mods and things are very persona to each different person."

He added: "I am kind of concerned about family medical things and a similarity with myself after my last major surgery.
"I have been told I have symptoms of sciatica but also my leg is showing complications and weakness. I did a u-turn on a toe amputation some years ago after talks with professional.
"I know its a rare topic a lot of people do not really talk about. I think a lot of people will think that they will be deemed a lunatic or seriously mentally ill." While he acknowledges surgeons won't just remove a limb, he does argue that if it could improve someone's mental wellbeing then it should be done.
He continued: "I'm not sure on the day or night of my death if ill have both my legs or not thats something I can not really control at the present however its something I think about which may surprise people. I'm not legless today but I might be tomorrow or in the future."
