Kate's cheeky five-word response to being told she's lucky to have William
At the time he started St Andrews University, Prince William was one of the world's most eligible bachelors - and had no shortage of attention from girls.
But after seeing her wow in a see-through dress at a charity fashion show, there was one girl who he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, his now wife Kate - with the couple having known each other for more than 20 years and been married for 12.
Upon her marriage to William, Kate was granted the royal title of Duchess of Cambridge and following the sad death of the late Queen in 2022, is now known as the Princess of Wales. She will also get another title upgrade when her husband eventually ascends the throne - and will be known as Queen Catherine.

But when one of the now-Princesses' friends put this point to her, she reportedly had a brilliant response. During their university days at St Andrews, a friend told Kate how lucky she was to be going out with William. And according to Claudia Joseph, author of Kate Middleton: Princess in Waiting, Smiling, Kate simply replied: "He's lucky to have me."
In a rare admission last year, Kate spoke out about her love for William and how it led to her becoming a member of the Royal Family. Kate made the rare comment when she joined a Dame Kelly Holmes Trust event in Bath and took on the double Olympic champion at a game of bean-bag noughts and crosses – but came out second best.

Asked if she wanted to be a "royal" by a pupil, the Princess replied it was something she had not expected but she "fell in love" with Prince William. She also candidly admitted that there is one part of royal life she's "still working out" and confessed it was not her "natural thing".
Currently, William and Kate are still on their Christmas holidays with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who are not due back at school until next week. The family spent Christmas at Sandringham with King Charles and the rest of the Royal Family.
On Christmas Day, royal fans were treated to the sight of William and Kate walking hand in hand with their children from Sandringham house on their way to St Mary Magdalene Church. And in a touching moment, Zara and Mike Tindall's eldest daughter Mia held hands with Louis, who in turn held his father’s hand.
