Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are left wondering why they need to follow "different rules" to other members of the Royal Family, claims a royal expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are thought to be confused by Sarah, the Duchess of York, appearing on ITV shows including Lorraine and This Morning. Her daytime telly antics are thought to create some 'misunderstanding' for the former working royals.

Royal commentator Neil Sean says Meghan and Harry simply "don't understand" why Fergie can sell books and advertise "under the Royal Family", and they can't. Taking to his YouTube channel, Neil questioned the Duchess of York's new career in TV.

"The thing that really riles Meghan is that Fergie pops up on things like the ITV daytime show This Morning, Loose Women and billing herself as the Duchess of York, selling books and possibly doing adverts all under the Royal Family," he explained. "Meghan and Harry seemingly don't understand why it's a different rule for her."

It comes after Prince Harry mentioned in his and Meghan's documentary series that he gets homesick for the UK, but one royal expert doesn't seem to believe it. In the 2022 Netflix series, Harry & Meghan, the Duke of Sussex said: "I miss the UK, I miss my friends." The 39-year-old moved to California with his wife and then-only child Archie in 2020, shortly after they excused themselves from royal duties.

However, royal expert Michael Cole doesn't quite think that the youngest son of King Charles is being completely honest. Michael told GB News: "He said he misses Britain and misses the British way of life, well it is a strange way of showing it." He continued: "They have an agenda. That agenda is very unhelpful and hurtful to his family."

Harry seems to have fond memories of his time growing up in England. "I miss the weird family gatherings when we are all sort of brought together under one roof for certain times of the year," he added in the documentary. One annual family gathering that Harry and Meghan haven't been to since 2018 was Christmas celebrations at Sandringham. The other members of the royal family have attended the December celebrations.

Since moving to the United States, Meghan and Harry have immersed themselves in charity work and media ventures. They created their own company, Archewell Productions. Their company has partnered with Netflix to create two documentary series so far. Harry & Meghan and Heart of Invictus came out earlier this year. The latter focused on athletes competing in Harry's Invictus Games. He created the Olympic-style games for veterans and current serving military members around the world.

Meghan also had a deal with Spotify where she had a podcast called Archetypes. The show aired for one season before being cancelled. The couple have been raising their two children in California as well. Archie, now four, and their daughter Lilibet, two. Their youngest is named after her great-grandmother the late Queen Elisabeth II.
