The Red Devils have struggled pretty much from the get go and the pressure is beginning to mount on Erik ten Hag once again in the wake of Saturday night's disappointing 2-1 defeat against Premier League strugglers Nottingham Forest.
Ten Hag will be hopeful of getting the green light to draft in reinforcements ahead of the second half of the season but it remains to be seen what funds the Dutchman will have to work with after spending big in the summer window. Ten Hag seals first deal
Manchester United have activated the one-year option in Victor Lindelof's contract, ensuring the defender will remain contracted until the summer of 2025.
The Sweden international, 29, was due to be a free agent at the end of the season but has been an important player for Erik ten Hag this term, making 18 appearances in all competitions.

Lindelof is one of United's longest serving players having joined from Benfica back in 2019 and has made 249 appearances since signing on at Old Trafford.

Barcelona eye Greenwood

That's according to The Sun, who claim that Barcelona are even willing to offer the versatile forward Lionel Messi's coveted No.10 shirt in a bid to lure him to the Nou Camp.
Greenwood is currently on loan in Spain with Getafe and has no future at Manchester United. Other European clubs have also been credited with an interest in the 22-year-old in recent weeks, although it remains to be seen if United will sell in January.
