Emmerdale spoilers have revealed a surprise new romance next week as two villagers share a kiss.
Soap watchers will recall that Chas Dingle has had a tumultuous love life as of late. Chas ruined her marriage to loveable vet Paddy Kirk by having an affair with Al Chapman. Al was dramatically killed off in October 2022 by Cain Dingle's young son Kyle and after his death, Paddy discovered Al and wife Chas' affair.
Since the breakdown of her marriage, Chas thought she had found love again with mystery man 'Simon'. However, 'Simon' turned out to be criminal gangster Harry, who is also Chloe Harris' dad Damon and was killed off earlier this week. During her short-lived romance with 'Simon', the gangster actually kidnapped Chas as revenge on the latter's brothers Cain and Caleb Dingle before she was rescued.
Elsewhere, Liam Cavanagh has had a troublesome few years in the village. Liam and wife Leyla Harding parted ways in 2022 after only marrying in 2021. The soap couple had a tumultuous time in their relationship with the tragic death of Liam's daughter, Leanna, who was murdered by Meena Jutla.

With both Chas and Liam single in the village, the two begin to bond in upcoming scenes as they realise they're both looking for love. And it's not long until the duo end up kissing... is this the start of a new romance?
It comes as Roxy Shahidi has insisted she wants her character Leyla to have 'another real love' following the latter's split from Liam. Talking about her character's future, Leyla star Roxy told Mirror and other press: "I personally think there's one relationship that should have lasted and I personally think they should revisit.
"I can't say who that is. It's funny because I did the Emmerdale tour the other day – you show everyone around the village and you do a little Q&A. I did four groups and everyone said the same thing: 'Oh, she should be with…' and I was like, 'I know!'
"I don't want her to be happy happy, because that's boring, do you know what I mean? I love the twists and turns. But I do think she needs another real love after the doctor. It was sad, the way it happened. They were so fun for so long and they got on so well.
"I think they provided a lot of enjoyable bits of comedy in between all the tragedy. And then it got really dark, really heavy. So I think a little bit of fun, but not too perfect and happy because then you've got no story."
