Love Island star breaks silence as she shares tragic death on Christmas Day
Love Island's Lana Jenkins shared the sad news that her grandad passed away on Christmas Day.
The reality TV star revealed the heartbreaking news to her fans on Instagram, saying she needed to spend time with her family. In a touching tribute, Lana posted a sweet photo of her grandad holding a baby relative and smiling at the camera.
She wrote: "A little bit of my Christmas... stayed in PJ's all day, food and movies. We lost my Grandad in the early hours of the morning yesterday so the day didn't feel so celebratory, so it's family time for now, last pic is my grandad with our Addi."

Lana was a contestant on the winter edition of Love Island, which aired in January and was filmed in South Africa. She and Ron Hall had a romantic connection on the show and made it to the final.
Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were declared the winners. Lana and Ron continued their romance after the show, but they ended things earlier this year. Ron confessed to The Sun in October that the show had strained his relationship with Lana, saying: "I will never do a dating show again, I will never have a relationship in the public eye again because I think it ruins it."
He added, "It played a part in mine and Lana's relationship. I think relationship programmes are quite forced and it doesn't happen naturally, it's great and it works."
It comes days after Lana suffered a major setback after her make-up ad was pulled off air after advertising regulators branded the beauty promotion 'irresponsible.' The 2022 Love Island winter series runner-up collaborated with the makeup brand Rimmel for a video.
She revealed the range of products she used to achieve the perfect soft makeup look targeted at students. It had the caption: "25% off Rimmel back to school." The sponsored post, which was featured on the beauty brand's Facebook page, received several complaints, with two people deeming the advert 'inappropriate' as it implied young girls needed to wear makeup in school to succeed.
In a statement, The Advertising Standards Authority said the advert is sending the wrong message to young girls as it plays on their insecurities. They have since banned it from appearing on online platforms.
They said: "We considered that the use of the word 'slay' in the claim 'Get ready to slay this back-to-school season' implied that girls or young women were more likely to succeed or do well when they went back to school if they wore make-up, in this case a concealing and contouring product.
"We considered the ad had the effect of playing on young girls' insecurities about their appearance and therefore concluded it was irresponsible. We told Coty UK, trading as Rimmel London, that they should not play on young girls' insecurities by implying that it was necessary to wear make-up to school to succeed."
