Man Utd identify solution to striker woes as Varane plots exit
The crisis at Manchester United worsened on Saturday as Erik ten Hag's side fell to defeat at West Ham.
The Red Devils' season has been nothing short of a disaster, with Ten Hag's side now languishing in eighth place in the Premier League. It now appears that senior players are looking to jump off the sinking ship, with Raphael Varane eyeing a return to Real Madrid.
Varane's potential departure comes as Everton boss Sean Dyche shut the door on a move for Jarrad Branthwaite and Ten Hag identified his top target for the January window. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Manchester United transfer news.
Varane seeks exit
Raphael Varane is open to returning to Real Madrid in the January transfer window as he plots an exit from Old Trafford. The Frenchman has drifted down the pecking order this season, though boss Erik ten Hg has denied reports of a falling out.
But the defender does not appear to be willing to stay at United for much longer. Varane is thought to be ready to return to Madrid if they can negotiate a deal with the Red Devils next month.

The Englishman has risen up United's list of targets as they look to buy a new defender, but Dyche has insisted he will remain with the Toffees.
"Look, we’ve all seen this before. A young player comes into the Premier League, does great and then all these stories start. It is a standard process so I am not worried about that," Dyche said.
"He does continue to improve but I will remind you there is no gold dust from me or my staff. We do not want to get in the way of the improvement. He is coming along at a really nice rate. You can coach things into players they do not need. For me, it is just to keep on enjoying it."
Ten Hag finds striker solution
United boss Erik ten Hag has identified Youssef En-Nesyri as the man to solve his attacking woes. The Red Devils have scored just 18 goals in the top-flight this season, with star summer signing Rasmus Hojlund still yet to find the back of the net.
Ten Hag is expected to bring in a striker in next month's transfer window in a bid to solve those problems. According to the Daily Mail, En-Nesyri is his top target, with the United boss sending scouts to watch the Morroccan international for Sevilla.
He has scored eight goals and notched four assists so far this season, with Sevilla ready to sell him for a fee in the region of £16million. His standout performances in La Liga and in last year's World Cup has peaked the interest of the United boss.
