Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could celebrate Boxing Day with the Royal Family for a touching reason.

Up until now, it was looking more and more unlikely the "warring" brothers, Prince William and Prince Harry could unite for the festive season. Now it looks like all that could change, and Prince Harry could spend his first festive season in London since 2018.

A source tells New magazine King Charles may have stepped in for a very special reason. They said: "There was a lot of talk of possibly meeting up with the King on Boxing Day or even New Year's so that Charles can see his grandchildren and they can sit down in a friendly environment and talk things through."

Charles is believed to be "open" to welcoming Meghan and Harry because he "wants to build a relationship with his grandchildren."

However, there's ongoing speculation over whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will join his family for Christmas, after having not been in the UK for the occasion in recent years.

It has been suggested that it's unlikely that the couple and their two children will reunite with the Royal Family during the festive period as Harry has been concerned about security for his family. They are expected to remain in the US, rather than spend time with the likes of King Charles III, 75.

Although it's claimed that Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, haven't received an invitation to join his family, it's been suggested that the couple would consider accepting one. It would mark their first Christmas with his relatives in years.

It's believed that the last time Prince Harry and Meghan spent Christmas with his family in the UK was in 2018. The couple had yet to welcome their children Prince Archie, now four, and Princess Lilibet, now two, at the time. Harry and Meghan are said to have joined the late Queen Elizabeth II for her annual lunch at Buckingham Palace on December 19 that year. It came seven months after the couple had got married in their royal wedding.

The pair later reportedly spent Christmas Day with the late monarch at Sandringham. Other guests are said to have included Prince Harry's brother Prince William, now 41, his wife Kate Middleton, now 41, and their three children.
