Love Island's Davide shares milestone in relationship with Ekin-Su after reunion
Love Island winner Davide Sanclimenti says he is planning something exciting for girlfriend Ekin-su Cülcüloğlu for their first Christmas together after rekindling their romance.
The TV couple won over the hearts of millions of viewers during their stint on the ITV reality show. After winning the 2022 series, Davide and Ekin-Su went on to date outside of the villa, but their relationship has been far from smooth sailing. Eleven months on, the Italian business owner announced that he and the Turkish actress had decided to go their separate ways.
However, the fan-favourite couple managed to patch things up and have been going strong ever since. Now the hunky former contestant says he wants to spend Christmas in Italy with Ekin-Su. They have already booked their tickets and are flying out to Davide's home country on Thursday, December 21.
He said: "We’re going to Italy tomorrow [Thursday] together. Also her mum and brother are coming so we are going to have a big family meal all together in Italy." The 28-year-old has also splashed the cash and is hoping to surprise his girlfriend with the present he bought her. "I spent a few days shopping for her. But I still need to finish my shopping. Ekin-Su is all sorted at least, the bigger job is done" he added.

He also went on to say that they never really broke up.

"Breaking up may happen to people but it never actually happened to us. We never properly privately broke up, it was more to do with the public pressure and we were having some tough months. It was a bit of pressure on both sides" he said.
In November, Ekin-Su revealed she and her beau are 'happier than ever' and says keeping aspects of her relationship a secret from the public has made them even stronger. She said: "Our relationship is actually better recently because we keep it private. We enjoy each other's company."
"Me and Davide are good and strong, there are no problems in our relationship and it's just normal," she said to Daily Record. She added: "It's good to keep some things private and some people like to document every second of what they do but how much is that real or for the cameras?"
She also mentioned that keeping some aspects of a relationship personal can be beneficial. "You need to have some things personal as well and I think that's when a relationship works best. When everyone knows your business people have opinions and I mean Jay Z and Beyonce - look at them."
