Manchester United head into the January transfer window in somewhat tricky circumstances.
The Red Devils have endured a poor second season under Erik ten Hag this term. Fans were hoping that the club hierarchy would be able to invest in the squad in the winter window but Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s ongoing negotiations for his slice of the Old Trafford club appears to have put the buffers on.

Red Devils consider cancelling Sancho deal
Manchester United have held talks about cancelling Jadon Sancho’s contract following his public falling-out with Ten Hag. The former Borussia Dortmund winger has not played a single minute for the Red Devils since refusing to apologise to the Dutchman.
Now, he could be set to leave the club for nothing. According to reports, United are taking a more ‘ruthless approach’ to player contracts.

It is suggested that they would not be afraid to cancel the deals of any player still at the club should it be for the greater good, with discussions regarding Sancho’s contract having already taken place. They will only go down that route should they fail to move him on in the January window.

Casemiro ‘open to' Saudi exit
While Sancho could be set to leave Old Trafford sooner rather than later, Brazilian midfielder Casemiro could also be on the way out. The former Real Madrid star has endured a difficult second season at Old Trafford.
Previous reports have claimed that there is interest in him from Saudi Arabia. According to Spanish outlet Marca, he has received an offer and is giving serious thought to accepting it.
Casemiro is said to be open to a change of club in January, while the Red Devils could be convinced to sell him in order to get his huge wages off the club’s books.

Onana eyed
Should Casemiro leave Old Trafford during the January transfer window, it appears that the Red Devils have found his successor in the form of Everton’s Amadou Onana. According to Foot Mercato, United are interested in the midfielder as a potential addition.
It is suggested that Everton value him at over €50million (£43.2million). The Red Devils would need to act quickly if they want to get a deal over the line. Barcelona are also reportedly interested in him and have opened talks with his representatives.
