A life-changing jackpot could became the next overnight millionaire as the EuroMillions numbers and Thunderball are in.

However, there was no winner tonight, meaning the jackpot will roll over to Friday. A huge £34 million was up for grabs in the EuroMillions draw tonight.

Each ticket includes automatic entry into the UK Millionaire Maker draw, which creates new UK millionaires every week, guaranteed. Players also have a chance of winning £500,000 in the Thunderball draw - which costs £1 per ticket. All you need to do is pick five main numbers from 1 to 39 and one Thunderball from 1 to 14, or opt for a Lucky Dip. If you are lucky, you could win half a million pounds thanks to the top prize.

£3million claimed from the weekend

Today the lottery received a claim for the £3,800,000 jackpot prize won by a single ticket-holder in the Lotto draw on Saturday 16 December, 2023.

The news of this latest Lotto multi-million pound claim comes just days after another jackpot of just over £13million, from the special Lotto ‘Must Be Won’ draw on 13 December, was also claimed by one lucky ticket-holder. That makes it over £16.8M in Lotto jackpot prize money having been won by two lucky Lotto players in less than a week.

As with all major prizes, the claim on the £3.8M Lotto jackpot prize will now go through the process of validation, which includes checks to ensure the Games Rules Terms and Conditions are adhered to and the integrity of The National Lottery is protected. Subject to validation the prize will then be paid at an appointment with one of Camelot’s Winners’ Advisers.

Once the ticket has been validated and paid, the ticket-holder will then decide whether or not to go public and share their news. There will be no information on whether they are an individual or syndicate winner, or where the ticket was purchased, unless the ticket-holder decides to go public.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said, “It’s been an incredible couple of draws for Lotto players, with two Lotto jackpot winners now having claimed their life-changing multi-million pound prizes, and just before Christmas too! Can you imagine what it must feel like to be either of these lucky Lotto winners, it’s probably one of the best Christmas presents anyone can ever hope to receive!

“Our focus is now on supporting this latest Lotto jackpot winning ticket-holder through the process and helping them start to enjoy their truly life-changing win.”

Mum becomes millionaire after waking up feeling 'strange'

A mum-of-five's 'Friday feeling' made her a millionaire, she reckons.

Ceri Ann Roscoe-Roberts immediately rolled over in bed, took her phone off her bedside table and bought a EuroMillions ticket online.

Twenty four hours later she was a millionaire. Ceri had initially forgotten all about buying a ticket for that Friday’s special EuroMillions draw on 3 November, when 10 UK millionaires were created in one night.

But when she woke up again on the Saturday morning after the draw, she had the very same certain feeling… this time telling her she had won. Ceri, 42, from Bangor, north Wales, said: "There was just something telling me when I woke on Saturday morning that I had won big on The National Lottery. It was the strangest feeling ever!"

EuroMillions winners quit work to build dream home from scratch

A couple quit work to build their dream home after winning £1million on EuroMillions.

John and Patricia Gill scooped the prize on Christmas Day in 2015, and are now converting a detached property.

Patricia said: “The win has bought us time – the time to do so much with our lives. John is now in the process of building our dream home.”

The couple are doing the bulk of the work on the former bungalow themselves. They hope to move in in the spring.

Builder who scooped £105m Lotto jackpot stuns neighbours with generous gesture

A builder who won big on a recent EuroMillions draw refused to charge his clients and told them to keep the money for Christmas presents.

Steve Thomson bagged a whopping £105million on the EuroMillions jackpot and told those he was doing jobs for they should use the cash they were set to pay him on Christmas shopping instead.

Neighbours and friends have since dubbed the builder a "top bloke" for his kind actions. Steve, who won the massive sum of cash when he was just 42, had finished installing a conservatory for a neighbour in Selsey, West Sussex when he refused payment for his hard work. It left his client over the moon, with the unnamed neighbour saying it shows the builder is a "decent man."

They said: "He didn't charge. It shows he's a top bloke, a decent man. We didn't ask him about the win because he's probably had enough of talking about it. I think it's quite nice for him to be able to work still because it takes his mind off the pressures of what to do with the money."
