EA FC 24 Winter Wildcards – latest leaks, predictions and expected release date
As we enter the festive period, EA Sports is set to release the holiday-themed EA FC 24 Winter Wildcards promo in Ultimate Team.
EA FC 24 Winter Wildcards will be in Ultimate Team for the third consecutive year after making its debut in FIFA 22. It seems that Winter Wildcards took over as EA Sports' winter-themed promo after the popular FUTMAS promo concluded in FIFA 20, and despite the promo still being a relatively new one, it has become one of the most-anticipated among the UT community.
The EA FC 24 Winter Wildcards promo will replace the EA FC 24 TOTGS squad in Ultimate Team, which includes the best players from the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League. And, ahead of the EA FC 24 Winter Wildcards release, leaks regarding the promo have already begun.

EA FC 24 Winter Wildcards: release date
With the TOTGS promo ending this week, we expect the EA FC 24 Winter Wildcards promo to begin on Friday, December 22 at 6pm GMT / 1pm EST / 10am PST. The Winter Wildcards promo lasted two weeks in both FIFA 23 and FIFA 22, so we expect the same in EA FC 24.

If this is the case, we expect that Team 1 will be released when the promo begins and will exit packs when Team 2 is released on Friday, December 29 at 6pm GMT / 1pm EST / 10am PST. Team 2 will then remain in Packs until the conclusion of the promo on Friday, January 5 at 5.59pm GMT / 12.59pm EST / 9.59am PST.
EA FC 24 Winter Wildcards: leaks
The first EA FC 24 Winter Wildcards leak comes courtesy of the ever-reliable @FutSheriff, with the leaker revealing the entire squad, including Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk, Barcelona's Alexia Putellas and many more. The leaker also revealed that Beyer Leverkusen's Alex Grimaldo could feature in the squad as a central midfielder, a change to his usual left-back position.

EA FC 24 Winter Wildcards: predictions
According to EA, the FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards promo featured a variety of permanent boosts inspired by past, present or potential future UT campaign upgrades. We predict this will be the same in EA FC 24, so expect to see players with position changes, upgraded skill moves and weak foot, brand-new PlayStyles and more.

Like every EA FC 24 promo, there will be more players released as SBCs and Objectives, while there may be a Winter Wildcards Evolution or two, so keep your eyes peeled when the promo begins! There was a FIFA 23 Winter Wildcards Swaps event where players could earn player tokens in exchange for rewards, but there hasn't been one swaps event since, so don't expect this to return EA FC 24.
