You have seen that Derek, Kate's husband, is sadly very poorly at the moment. Charlotte then added: "Extremely difficult. Lots of love." Another star, who posted well-wishes was former GMB presenter Piers Morgan, who took to Twitter and posted two emojis of hands in prayer, in response to Susanna's emotional tribute.

Derek suffered a massive heart attack earlier this week which has left him fighting for his life all over again. It was sudden and a shock as he had been doing so well and was in great spirits, looking forward to Christmas at home with the family."
They added that this has been a huge blow for the family and Kate has been by his side desperately hoping for him to recover. “Kate has been utterly incredible — by his side while being an amazing mum to Darcey and Billy, and trying to manage their expectations of a family Christmas," they added. After going into a coma, Derek spent 13 months in hospital back in 2020, which has made him Britain's longest suffering Covid victim.
On the back of his original diagnosis, he then suffered a number of other health problems including brain inflammation, kidney failure, and liver and pancreas damage. After moving back to the family's north London home, Kate has had to adapt the house to make it suitable for him to live in. In addition, the presenter has paid for 24 hour care and physio.
