Strictly winners Ellie and Vito refuse to deny romance after kissing in final
Strictly Come Dancing winners Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola refused to deny romance rumours on Monday's This Morning as they were grilled about their 'insane' chemistry.
Former Coronation Street star Ellie, 22, became the youngest winner of Strictly on Saturday night with her professional dance partner Vito, 31. The duo have impressed with their routines during the competition and have set tongues wagging with their chemistry, sparking romance rumours throughout the competition.
On Monday's This Morning, the winning duo appeared on the sofa to talk about winning, where host Josie Gibson was quick to grill the duo about the romance rumours. Josie, 38, who commented on their 'insane' chemistry, said: "Guys, I've got to ask because the chemistry between you is magic, we've seen you on that dance floor so beautiful to watch. Is there any romance between you guys? Are the rumours true or not?"

Vito then added: "We have a beautiful bond, good bond, you see a person, you connect with person straight away. I am a very first impression person and when we met, straight away, we had that feeling we knew each other since we were young. First time, I am so so lucky to have you in my life."
This Morning presenter Craig Doyle was quick to joke: "100% romance, 100%, come on, I can see it!" to which a laughing Ellie and Vito replied: "No, no!" Ellie then added: "We've been through so much together, we've spent every day together for the past three months so yeah we're really really lucky to have that bond and we'll be friends for life!"

Throughout the 2023 contest, viewers have been transfixed by the growing friendship between Ellie and Vito - with many speculating that the pair had become more than just friends. Both stars were single at the start of the contest as Ellie broke up with her boyfriend Reagan Pettman earlier in the year - amid allegations he had cheated on her.

The rumours that Ellie and Vito were secretly dating were fuelled by the couple themselves as they would kiss on stage and then laugh about it during interviews.
In an early interview, Ellie declared: "It was only a kiss on the cheek. He gives me a kiss on the cheek every Saturday! We really, really get along and we have a lovely friendship. I hope we can continue that. We’ve got a really good relationship where we kind of know what the other needs."
It comes as Ellie had a simple message for Vito following their win on Saturday night, where she sweetly said: "This is for you!" The simple four word message proved to be a touching tribute for Vito, who looked delighted to receive the compliment and was in tears over their triumph on the competition.
