A mum who used all her savings on her daughter's cancer treatment won a £159 million ($2 million) jackpot. Geraldine Gimblet from Lakeland, Florida, scooped the top prize on a lottery scratchcard game.

Just one day before, Geraldine's daughter, Lawrencina Jackson, had finished her cancer treatment. "The day before my mom bought this ticket, I rang the bell and walked out of the hospital after completing my last treatment for breast cancer," she shared.

Geraldine had spent her life savings to help with Lawrencina's care. Speaking about the moment, she stated, "My mom had taken out her life savings to take care of me when I was sick. I'm just so happy for her!"

Always playing the lottery, Geraldine didn't hesitate to use her money to fund her daughter's treatment. "I really didn't think about it. I just did what I had to do," she revealed to Good Morning America.

Lawrencina expressed her gratitude towards her mother. "Her doing what she did just meant so much to me," she said. "I don't even see where I can replace it. I just have to keep loving her, maybe that'll help."
