Sam Thompson shares sweet tribute to girlfriend Zara McDermott
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here 2021 winner Sam Thompson gushed over girlfriend Zara McDermott following his victory on Sunday.
The Made in Chelsea star embraced the 'love of his life' after landing back in the UK following a three-week stint in the Australian jungle. The 31-year-old radio host pitted against boxer Tony Bellew and former politician Nigel Farage in the nail-biting final on Sunday, December 10, before being crowned the King of The Jungle.
Voting figures showed the reality star won by a landslide, amassing 43.35% of the overall votes from the public, while Tony trailed behind with 30.87% and third-place winner Farage managed 25.78%. The break down of votes for King of the Jungle was Sam - 56.64% and Tony - 43.36%.
Viewers watched as winner Sam made it over the bridge to hug best friend Pete Wicks during the final moments of the show. Zara has revealed she was unable to fly out to Australia to support her boyfriend due to the fact she was on this year's Strictly Come Dancing, however, she made sure to show her support once he returned.

Zara greeted Sam with a cluster of rainbow balloons that read "Welcome Home!" (PA)Sam took to Instagram to reveal he was thrilled to have reunited with Zara. He wrote: "She brought balloons [laughing emoji] Reunited with the love of my life. What a trip, what a lucky guy I am, spot an awkward Pete." Fans were left delighted at the scenes. One person wrote: "You guys, that must have been the most amazing feeling for you both!" A second person said: "Glad you two are reunited xx" A third penned: "I need a video of this reunion."

Pete also shared some snaps of Sam and Zara's reunion, which he captioned: "They were reunited…I was awkward [balloon emoji]" After winning the show, Sam excitedly said: "I'm really overwhelmed, I didn't even think I was going to be invited onto the show. I'm so grateful, thank you so much. I’ve dreamt of doing this show for years and years and you made this boy’s dream come true."

Sam also took the time to thank his followers for their support. Posting a message after receiving his phone, he said: "I'M COMING HOME!!!! I only just got my phone back this morning, and I don't quite know where to begin, but I want to start first of all by saying thank you."
