A Place in the Sun's Jonnie Irwin provides health update amid cancer diagnosis
A Place in the Sun star Jonnie Irwin provided fans with a health update in a new Instagram post.
The 50-year-old presenter, who previously revealed his cancer had tragically spread from his lung to his brain last year after initially being diagnosed in 2020. The property guru was given just six months to live but has been keeping positive and continued fighting while providing updates.
In a new post, the Escape to the Country star shared a snap of himself using a new at-home physiotherapy machine while watching a Spurs game in his living room. It aims to stimulate muscle movement and maintain muscle strength. The wires were attached to his thighs.
Jonnie wrote in the caption: "Trying out my @enovis_uk_ireland machine whilst watching Spurs come good as I hoped they would. For me especially this was a ‘pulsating win’ Keeping my joy on the DL as Mrs I not very happy."

To mark the special occasion, the presenter, his wife Jess and their sons Rex, four, and twins Rafar and Cormac, three, jetted off to Spain to sit back and relax. Jonnie told fans that the occasion was a "triumph".
Speaking to Hello! magazine, he said: "I feel really privileged to be able to celebrate my birthday looking at blue skies and with sand between my toes. I had an early birthday party at the start of the year because I didn't think I'd make it. It was like being at my own wake; lots of fun, lots of dancing. But here I am. I view it as a complete triumph." The A Place in The Sun star also described how his life-threatening illness has forced him to really appreciate every day as he treasured being away with his wife and kids for his 50th.
