Emmerdale character missing after kidnap horror and deadly news under threat

Emmerdale is set for explosive scenes this Christmas with secrets and kidnaps on the horizon.

In upcoming episodes, after a heated argument, Charity Dingle is wound up when Mack Boyd storms out and insists he won’t be back for a while. However, it's not long until a unresponsive Mack sits bound to a chair in an abandoned factory. No details have been given about what happens or who takes him, but what is known is that Mack's life is on the line. Who has kidnapped him and what do they want?

And things only get worse on Christmas week as inside the dark, gloomy factory, there's no sign of Mack, just the chair he was once bound to... is Mack okay and where is he? Elsewhere in the village, Amit Sharma's death secret risks being rumbled as son Suni urges him to tell the truth.

Earlier this year, Amit made his debut as the father of Jai and Suni headed to the village after a recent DNA bombshell. It comes after Suni found out Jai was his brother and not his cousin in a recent episode, after Suni's father had an affair with Jai's mother Georgia. Georgia fell pregnant, and Rishi Sharma helped her raise his brother's child, claiming Jai to be his own son.

Only recently, Amit's son Suni was left reeling once again after learning that Amit was there when his brother Rishi died, who had been found dead at the bottom of the stairs in a supposed "accidental fall". Amit has insisted he's not responsible for Rishi's death and that it was a tragic accident but Suni has been left wary over his dad. In upcoming episodes, Suni urges him to tell the truth about the day Rishi died. What will Amit do and are there more shocking discoveries?

It comes after soap producer Laura Shaw teased the upcoming festive scenes, telling the Mirror and other press: "We've got a slightly edgier Christmas this year! The Charity, Mackenzie, Chloe love triangle has been bubbling away for 18 months or so now. We'll see at Christmas that reach a bit more of a crescendo where Mackenzie pushes Chloe to her absolute limits. And what we'll see is her reach out to her father for help.

"Chloe's dad is not someone to be messed about with quite a dark character… When she reaches out to him, what we will see is him helping Chloe in his own unique way. Is Mackenzie gonna be able to talk his way out of this one? I'm not sure. We'll have to wait and see, but I think it's pretty sure to say that the repercussions of that are gonna be long lasting into the new year and beyond."
