Adele breaks down in tears over husband Rich Paul's late mother's drug addiction
British singing sensation Adele has proved that her American sports agent husband Rich Paul is the one.
The Rolling In The Deep singer, 35, has opened up about her relationship with Rich, 41, and how the pair have always known "everything about each other" since the day they got together. She's also spoken about the emotional experience she had reading his memoir, Lucky Me: A Memoir of Changing The Odds.
In Rich's memoir, which came out in October, the sports agent details growing up as he looks back on his life and career with wit and insight, drawing out the lessons he learned at every stage. The description states: "It’s the inspiring story of the luck that’s all around us, if we know where to look."

In her latest interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Adele said: "Rich and I have always known everything about each other since the day we got together. It was very emotional reading about his mum, because obviously she's not with us, so I've never met her."
Becoming tearful as she spoke about Rich's mum and her husband's journey of writing his memoir, Adele went on: "She's such a big part of Richard and the kids and the kids' mum's life and stuff like that. But I knew all about it. I'm getting a bit emotional. It was hard for him to write that."
Rich's career was kickstarted after a chance meeting with Lebron James that changed his life. But before this, Rich had known of his mom's drug addiction when he was only four years of age, with him having a tough start in life.
"I never had the chance to be a kid," he writes in his book. "Crack was so powerful it decimated my mother's love and expedited my adolescence. I had to grow from a cub to a young wolf right away."

"It was very emotional," he revealed when talking about his now-wife's response to his book. "I think a lot of it probably hit home, so yeah, it was a difficult read [for her]."
The Rolling In The Deep singer announced that she and Rich, who she began dating in 2021, had tied the knot back in November. She shared the news at Alan Carr's comedy gig in Los Angeles shortly before Thanksgiving.
The bombshell revelation came to light when the comedian asked the audience if anyone had got married recently and Adele shouted: "I did!"
Prior to Adele revealing that she and Rich were wed, the singer had already referred to Rich as her "husband" on several occasions, including during her Las Vegas residency while speaking to fans from the stage. The couple got engaged earlier this year after two years of dating.
During an appearance on CBS Mornings in October, Rich was asked by host Gayle King if she could refer to Adele as "Mrs Paul". He replied: "You can say whatever you want." He then added: "It's not for the media", explaining he isn't the "type of person to put [his] personal life" in the spotlight.
And after confirming her marriage to the sports agent in November, it was on November 22 that she was keen to show off the simply huge sparkler on her ring finger. Sitting courtside to watch the LA Lakers play the Dallas Mavericks in Los Angeles, Adele appeared to be enjoying herself as she repeatedly flashed her ring from underneath the cuff of her cream sweater which she had teamed with khaki cargo pants.

Adele is mum to son Angelo, whom she welcomed with charity executive Simon Konecki in October 2012. Meanwhile, Rich is a father to three children from a previous relationship.
