EastEnders may have teased who dies this Christmas in a set of epic promo images for the BBC soap.

This Christmas Day, a mystery male character will meet a gruesome fate at the hands of six female characters. Amid theories of a double murder, lives will be changed forever in Walford.

Now, new spoiler photos have dropped confirming who is involved in the big scenes. There could be some very telling clues in these images too, which perhaps gives away the victim or victims, as well as who the killer is.

The Six, as they are known, feature in images with the now confirmed possible victims. For the first time in the storyline, EastEnders has seemingly confirmed which male characters could die on Christmas Day.

Kathy Beale, Suki Panesar, Denise, Linda Carter, Stacey Slater and Sharon Watts are the suspects at the scene of the crime, with one of them set to be the killer. We have no idea who dies, but now the BBC soap has confirmed which seven names are at risk of being killed off.

While details of the death remain under wraps, fans of the soap have known for months that a mystery male character will die in the big episode this month. The crime takes place at The Queen Vic, and clues in episodes over the past year, and in the special flashforward scene that aired in February, have hinted at what goes down.

Now, it's confirmed according to new promo images that Phil Mitchell, Keanu Taylor, Ravi Gulati, Dean Wicks, Nish Panesar, Rocky Cotton and Jack Branning could be about to leave the show, or at least one of them. All seven of them are stood in the same suits with the very same cufflinks on, with a fiery backdrop.

In another image, we see all seven men stood alongside The Six, with one of them set to turn killer. A further image shows the victims sat in The Queen Vic which is the scene of the crime.

But there could be some major hints in one image in particular, but all three of them. The image of the men alone shows three of them concealing their pocket squares and two of them concealing their cufflinks. While it's possibly just the positioning, could these be ruling out five of the men as victims?

Phil, the least likely victim, is stood at the front of the group in one image. EastEnders clearly want fans to think Phil is the one most at risk, but this has to be a red herring given the chances of him being killed off are pretty low.

Then there's the group image with the women, which shows the potential killers stood besides their potential victim. Interestingly, Denise is stood beside her former fling Ravi and not her husband Jack, who is actually stood next to Stacey amid a possible affair twist.

It's the third image that possibly gives the biggest hints though, and might reveal some events of the big day. Dean is stood by the door for the upstairs of the pub which is pretty interesting, given viewers are convinced he and Linda will have a final showdown upstairs.

Linda was shown scrubbing blood off the floor in the upstairs kitchen in a trailer, so does the image hint this showdown will occur? Then there's Ravi who looks the most panicked out of the seven men.

He's also stood closest to the spot where the victim ends up dead on the floor. Is this just coincidental, or could it tease this is the spot where he loses his life? There's also a puddle of blood behind Ravi and Rocky - does this tease it will be one of them killed off?
