Grandad violently punched as he pushed stroller in Calabasas
Shocking video footage shows the moment a man is violently attacked by a stranger while walking his young granddaughter in a stroller through an affluent neighbourhood home to star-studded celebrities.
The horrific attack took place in the 4000 block of Lost Spring Road in the affluent Calabasas neighborhood in California on Tuesday. Calabasas is home to a number of celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Will Smith and Miley Cyrus.
Angel Sanchez Jr. of Santa Barbara was arrested in Oxnard on Wednesday evening in connection with the attack. The 29-year-old has been charged with assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury.

Sanchez Jr. has also been linked with a second attack which occurred near the 26000 block of Agoura Road. "Although both victims of the assaults were of Asian descent, the motive for the attacks is currently under investigation," Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.

As the victim is crossing the road while pushing the stroller with his 10-month-old granddaughter, a man wearing jeans and a black t-shirt can be seen walking up to him.
After a few seconds the man throws one brutal punch, which causes the victim and stroller containing the small baby to fall to the ground. The suspect then walks away from the scene before getting into a silver Honda Odyssey, parked in a nearby driveway.
The victim, stroller and young baby are sent flying after the man is punched (KTLA)It takes a while for the victim to get up but he eventually does and checks on his granddaughter. Speaking after the attack, neighbours called the incident "random" and insisted the area is a "safe neighborhood".
Speaking to KTLA 5 Greg Higa said: "It feels really random. This is a safe neighborhood and we're all just absolutely horrified that something could happen here to someone doing something so innocent like walking their child." According to the outlet, the victim and baby are said to be in a good condition.
The man walks away and drives off after the attack (KTLA)Mary Steele said the victim is a 'very nice community member' and insisted she did not know why he was attacked. "He has a beautiful home, people know who he is and the baby is an innocent victim," she added.
Calabasas boasts many glamorous houses and offers seclusion due to the city’s gated communities. According to real estate experts, the average listing price of a Calabasas home is more than $3 million.
