EastEnders fans 'solve' who dies at Christmas but it's 'not a teased victim'

EastEnders viewers are convinced the BBC soap's latest spoilers are a major red herring in regards to the Christmas death.

This Christmas Day one character will be killed off in brutal scenes, while their identity is being concealed. That said, new spoiler images have seemingly confirmed it will be one of seven men that die in the big episode.

Seven male characters feature in new promo pictures for the big event and, in one image, they are stood alongside the possible killers. But viewers are convinced the soap is throwing us all off the scent, and the real victim is not in the promo images.

After a recent trailer clue saw the number eight noticeable, some viewers have questioned whether there is an eighth possible victim not stood with the seven characters shown to be at risk. If this is the case, fans are wondering if this eighth person will die in a major twist.

The Six, as they are known, feature in images with the now confirmed possible victims. Kathy Beale, Suki Panesar, Denise, Linda Carter, Stacey Slater and Sharon Watts are the suspects at the scene of the crime, with one of them set to be the killer. For the first time in the storyline, EastEnders has seemingly confirmed which male characters could die on Christmas Day. These characters are Phil Mitchell, Keanu Taylor, Ravi Gulati, Dean Wicks, Nish Panesar, Rocky Cotton and Jack Branning.

But viewers are sure given the 'eight' trailer clue and the fact other men have been teased to be tied to the storyline, that someone else will be killed off. Taking to X, one viewer said: "They’ve narrowed it down to seven but the juke box in the trailer had 8 pushed down. There’s a secret one not listed." Another said: "What if it's none of them?"

A third fan agreed: "I bet it is none of the seven in the photo. There is going to be a surprise death of a young male character. I have a feeling a male character in his 30s going to die soon. It will upset fans but that's what my gut tells me."

While details of the death remain under wraps, fans of the soap have known for months that a mystery male character will die in the big episode this month. The crime takes place at The Queen Vic, and clues in episodes over the past year, and in the special flashforward scene that aired in February, have hinted at what goes down.
