Strictly fans 'rumble' final three and who will leave amid elimination shake-up

Strictly Come Dancing was thrown into chaos this weekend when Nigel Harman quit just hours before the live show.

A BBC spokesperson confirmed his exit on Saturday, saying: "Unfortunately Nigel has sustained an injury which means he is unable to perform in tonight’s show and has had to withdraw from Strictly." This is the second quit of the series as Amanda Abbington, 51, left the BBC Latin and ballroom show a few weeks back due to personal reasons.

As such, hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman revealed that there would be no public vote and no elimination this weekend in a shock twist. They announced: "We only have four couples unfortunately Nigel has sustained an injury which means he's unable to be performing on tonight's show and he's had to withdraw from the competition.

"We are as devastated as he is but Nigel and Katya will be chatting to us later on in the show. That means there will be no public vote tonight and no elimination this weekend but the judges will still be scoring and those scores will be carried over and you'll be able to vote as usual next week."

However, despite no elimination this weekend, it hasn't stopped fans from predicting who could go next week ahead of the final. The remaining couples are Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe, and Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin.

Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "Next week will be interesting but an Annabel & Bobby bottom 2 would feel right, but I’d want to see Bobby in the final."

A different account put: "No #Strictly result to predict tonight so I'll predict early that Layton, Ellie and Annabel will be the finalists. Could easily also be Bobby though" while another show watcher wrote: "i wasnt sure before nigel left but now im 90% sure that the final will be bobby, ellie & layton #strictly."

Elsewhere, one fan said: "Annabel deserves to be in the final along with Ellie and Layton #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing", a different account put: "Will be very happy with an ellie Bobby Leyton final I think #strictly" while another added: "I think we’re losing Bobby next week tbh."
