I'm A Celeb's Tony Bellew confuses fans with huge jungle makeover mid-show

I’m A Celebrity viewers have been left confused and distracted after noticing former boxer Tony Bellew has undergone a makeover while in the jungle – in the middle of last night's show.

The 41-year-old Liverpudlian has become an instant fan favourite thanks to his deadpan humour and quips – even putting hosts Ant and Dec in their place, calling them “smart a**es”. The star joined the camp after the others with a handlebar moustache, which he had been growing for Movember.

The fantastic cause raises awareness around several men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide. Viewers had got used to seeing Tony with the bold choice of facial hair – having entered the jungle with the impressive look.

However, last night, those watching were left scratching their heads after Tony’s tache seemed to disappear and grow back within seconds. At the start of Friday night’s episode, ITV showed him sporting facial hair in the Bush Telegraph. It then cut to a clip of him sitting in the same spot seconds later, completely clean-shaven.

Those watching at home were left dumbfounded by the continuity error and rushed to X, formerly Twitter to share their disbelief. One person asked: “Where’s the tash gone?” Another user added: “Tony??! Where is your moustache?!” and someone else worried: “Noooo! Where’s ya tache gone, Tony?!?”

Others commented on the editing of the segment, remarking that none of the campmates had commented on it. “Not Tony’s moustache disappearing and appearing again,” chuckled one person. Another viewer added: “Amazing how Tony’s moustache disappeared then reappeared again seconds later.” Someone else penned: “What's happened to Tony Bellew's iconic moustache?!! No mention of it on the show, this is a huge moment people, I already miss it.“

Another said: “Tony shaving is like when you're a baby and u see your dads shaved face for the first time I feel upset.“

Viewers watching at home could be forgiven for thinking Tony wouldn't be able to get his hands on a razor and shaving cream in the jungle, as luxuries like that are usually limited. One viewer joked: “So Tony has been to Turkish barber in the break?“

But some people loved it. “Tony looks so cute without the moustache“, gushed one fan, and another shared: “Nothing has made me happier this week than Tony shaving his tache.“
