Emmerdale bosses have teased Tracy and Caleb's affair will be exposed this Christmas - ahead of a shocking new arrival.

In unlikely and unexpected scenes, Tracy and Caleb were seen locked in a passionate affair behind Nate's back, that has only continued to blossom. The pair seemingly can't keep their hands off one another - but it will all come crashing down Christmas Day.

The Dingles will have the most awkward Christmas dinner together, as they all sit round the table unaware of Caleb and Tracy's deceit - but with it all set to come out, what trouble will this bring the iconic family this festive season?

All is revealed this Christmas (ITV)

Laura Shaw, the show's producer, told us: "Tracy and Caleb have started their dangerous affair - and we'll see a bit more of that in the run up to Christmas. And then what we'll see is the most awkward Christmas dinner ever when those that are all sat around the table at the Dingles together. Somebody on Christmas Day is going to find out their dark secret and threaten to blow that."

However, things are likely to be muddied even more by the arrival of Nicky's mum - and Caleb's ex - but is there more to their relationship than meets the eye, and has Caleb been hiding something from the village?

Laura added: "For New Year, we've heard mentioned before of Nicky’s mum and Caleb's wife and we’ve heard from Caleb that it's all over between them and there's nothing going on, but is that really true?

"And in the new year, we will see Ruby bursting onto our screens. She’s gonna be an absolute firecracker. She's gonna put a real spanner into the Dingles. Is her and Caleb’s relationship really as over as he's made out?"

Nicky actor Lewis Cope previously teased the arrival of his mum - as he shared his hopes for his future on the soap.

"It would be great to see more members of the Miligan family. I think there is potential for so much story there!" he said, "I would like to see Nicky and Gabby put the past behind them and have some sort of friendship. Very very tough but I hope it can work!"
