With the weather outside getting chillier, many of us are stockpiling chunky, cosy knits, roll-neck sweaters, thick tights and, of course, the snuggliest coats of all. One particular option from New Look is perfect for keeping you snug as well as glamorous.

What's more is this fabulous coat - that comes in cream, grey, green and a whole host of other colours - is on sale for £40 down from its usual £59.99 and is great for when you need to layer up. With over 150 five star reviews on the New Look website, the winter jacket is made from super-soft fabric, helping you stay cosy when you step outside.

It has a collared neckline and mid length that skims over your shape. Plus, if you get any dirt on it, the coat is machine washable, so no need to fret over taking it to the dry cleaners.

Another added: "The most appealing thing about this coat was the colour and it really is lovely (it is an Emerald green not teal in my view). It is nice and soft and quality seems to be good (but yet to wear it). Many have said that it’s on the larger side fit-wise but I found it true to size. I’m a size 14, ordered a size 14 and it fits perfectly. I do have a large bust though so maybe that’s maybe something to consider when choosing your size."

Although they added: "It arrived very creased, so I’m hoping they will drop out a bit before I wear it. Got it with £25 off in the Black Friday sale and very happy that it is worth the £35 paid for it - in fact, I think it’s a bargain. Looking forward to wearing it!"

Although most people loved its roomy fit, others thought it was "unflattering" and weren't happy with the colour of the coat in real life.

One reviewer said: "Disappointed with this coat. The colour was not vibrant like the photo (appreciate that it might be slightly different on screen). It almost had a white sheen over it. Very crumpled up as well so it looked tatty. And frankly it was very unflattering."

With the weather being positively baltic - and snow on the horizon - New Look isn't the only place to bag yourself a warm and fluffy garment.
