Arsenal are in fine health heading into what looks likely to be a hectic festive period.

Mikel Arteta ’s Gunners top the Premier League table after their slender win against Brentford in West London. Kai Havertz was the eventual matchwinner for Arsenal against the Bees.

Away from domestic action, the North London side will also be aiming to progress in the Champions League. A win against Lens this week would see them secure their place in the knockout stages.

Away from the action on the pitch, Arteta and Edu already appear to be laying the groundwork for the January transfer window. With that being said, take a look at all of the news to come out of the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Arsenal ‘willing to sell’ Partey

While Ramsdale does not look likely to be leaving Arsenal any time soon, one man who could is midfielder Thomas Partey. According to ESPN, the Gunners are open to letting the former Atletico Madrid star leave in January in order to fund their own new arrivals.

Juventus have been noted as admirers of his in the past and could potentially make an effort to sign him sooner rather than later. Should he leave, the Gunners would look to bolster their midfield options.

One candidate being considered is Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz. He is under contract at Villa Park until the summer of 2023.

Arteta hails Havertz

Mikel Arteta has praised Kai Havertz and claims he is an “example” for the rest of his side in how to deal with adversity. The German forward netted his first goal from open play for the Gunners at Brentford.

Speaking after the success, Arteta said: "If things come easy, you don’t value them. If things came easy then he wouldn’t have got the reception he got today with everybody hugging him and telling him how much we love him.

“It’s for a reason, it’s because of the way he behaves in difficult situations. He’s an example for all of us to do what you have to do when you have difficulties. It’s a great example for the team. We cannot be happier that a big player like him wins the game for the team."
