Prince Harry and King Charles seem to have come a long way in their bitter feud as it's been claimed they have developed a "line of communication".

The Duke of Sussex has been estranged from his father after stepping back from the Royal Family three years ago. Amid their rocky relationship, Harry hit out at the monarch in his debut memoir Spare and also made a number of claims about his father in his Netflix docuseries.

Harry claimed Charles would make brutal jokes about him, even once saying: "Who knows if I'm even your real father?" However, royal author Omid Scobie has now claimed their rift is healing.

The journalist explained how the pair seem to have come together after Harry and Meghan accused someone in the Royal Family of making racist comments about their son Prince Archie. The couple shocked the world as they sat down for a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey and opened up about their time in The Firm.

During the chat, the couple alleged an unnamed member of the Royal Family had expressed "concerns" about "how dark" Prince Archie's skin would be when he was born.

Speaking to Good Morning America, Omid admitted he knew who it was who made the comments. He explained: "The names were mentioned in letters between Meghan and Charles that were exchanged some time after the Oprah interview."

However, Omid said he is prevented from revealing the names of those involved due to UK law. He told GMA that Charles was "horrified that that's how Meghan felt that that's how those conversations were."

Omid added: "It's why I personally think that they have been able to move forward with some kind of line of communication afterwards. They may not see eye-to-eye on it."

Omid is set to release a bombshell new book, Endgame, which has been described as a "penetrating investigation into the current state of the British monarchy." The the book's description reads: "An unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image, and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family."

It's believed the book will "have the world talking". In a description of the book, publisher HarperCollins said: "With unique insight, deep access and exclusive revelations, journalist Omid Scobie pulls back the curtain on an institution in turmoil—exposing the chaos, family dysfunction, distrust and draconian practices threatening its very future."
