Strictly's Vito sends fans wild with racy comment to Ellie live on air
At the end of a week in which Coronation Street star Ellie Leach and her Strictly Come Dancing pro partner, Vito Coppola, had fuelled romance speculation, the 31-year-old dancer raised eyebrows with a saucy comment on live TV, made after they had performed a sultry Argentine Tango.
The 22-year-old actress, who plays Faye Windass on the cobbles, had impressed the judges with her skills during the performance, which brought a couple of tens and the place at the top of the leaderboard. It was before the scores were given that Vito brought the house down with his comments, in response to a question from co-host Claudia Winkleman.
The pro dancer was asked about the amount of control that is required to perform an Argentine Tango, but his reply led to shocked faces and, no doubt, some blushes among the show's producers. Vito explained to Claudia: "So much control, it was difficult as coming from last week, she was so spread out with everything and this one you have to keep everything in."

Vito said: "There is a ball of fire between us and I said 'look at me and eat me with your eyes'".
The comment drew gasps from those in the room with Vito and fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their disbelief, with one posting: "DID VITO JUST SAY 'eat me with ur eyes' LIVE ON THE BBC. I AM SCREAMING"

Ellie admitted that her confidence with dancing has taken off while being on Strictly and admitted: "A few weeks ago I would never have been able to have done this dance." With romance rumours being sparked between the couple, viewers didn't fail to notice that Ellie had her eyes fixed on Vito's and that the end of the routine saw they stay in a close hold together, with some thinking that they would kiss, such was the passion of the dance.

The intimate photos were captioned by Vito with: "Live the present and be grateful for what you have in life. Be happy for waking up every morning and appreciate the small things. This makes the real Happiness. These are the words that Lulú and I keep repeating to each other."
Ellie responded with her own comment on the post, writing: "Always live in the present and appreciate the little things so lucky and grateful for this experience with you xxx".
