Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would risk "fuelling the narrative" of a Royal Family feud if they commented on Omid Scobie's explosive new book, according to a PR expert.

The royal author is set to release his new book Endgame on Tuesday, which has been described on Amazon as "a penetrating investigation into the current state of the British monarchy". The book's description has added: "An unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image, and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family."

Endgame is set to focus on racism allegations within The Firm as well as Harry's tense relationship with his family. Mayah Riaz believes the Sussexes could perpetuate their feud with the royals if they were to comment on the book.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, the PR to the stars said: "It is important for Harry and Meghan to carefully consider whether it is necessary for them to comment on any part of the book. At a time where the couple are trying to make amends with the Royal Family, it is important for them to consider potential risks of commenting on the book.

"If they were to address chapters or allegations, Harry and Meghan could inadvertently prolong the media attention and further fuel the narrative. I would advise them to focus on their current endeavours, such as their philanthropic work rather than past controversies."

Mayah pointed out how Meghan and Harry have distanced themselves from Omid ahead of the book's release. The author put to bed claims that he is "Meghan's mouthpiece" as he posted on X: "And let’s get this nonsense out the way - #ENDGAME is about the current state of the British Royal Family. It's not 'Harry and Meghan's book', I’m not 'Meg's pal', the Sussexes have nothing to do with it, their story is a small part of a much bigger one you can read in 12 days."

Mayah told us: "Omid has stated that he is not "Meg's Pal" and this book isn't in their words. Otherwise, that might have been something that the Duke and Duchess to clarify and comment on, had it not already been commented."

However, if the Sussexes were to comment on Endgame, Mayah believes they would only speak about parts which relate to their charitable work. She told us: "Should they feel it necessary to comment on the book, I would advise them to focus on aspects of the book which align with their own narrative and goal.

"This could be their dedication to their humanitarian work, mental health advocacy and their commitment top building a more inclusive society." She added: "Either way, it is essential for them to maintain a respectful tone, avoiding any direct criticism or personal attacks on the Royal Family."
