Meghan's hidden signal to Harry that she was in 'distress' at Royal event
Meghan Markle gave a secret signal to her husband Prince Harry to tell him that she was in "distress" at a past Royal event before they departed the British Monarchy, with the signal now revealed.
In a TikTok video, shared by a Harry and Meghan fan page in 2022, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be seen standing beside one another while looking glamorous, around the time that their time as working Royals was winding down in 2020.
The clip, which was from when they arrived at the Mountbatten Festival of Music at the Royal Albert Hall in London on March 7, 2020, saw the couple stand beside one another while holding hands. And while holding onto each other, they could be seen gripping onto one another.

Another added: "Isn’t this when she was depressed and feared being left alone? Maybe that’s the reason of the comfort." And a third penned: "He’s so protective over her.. as a husband should be."
And now renowned body language expert Judi James has weighed in. Analysing the video clip, Judi told us: “This appearance is one that Meghan cited as being her most emotional and the one where she had to wear a fake smile to hide her actual distress.
"When a couple appears in public their touch and binding rituals like this hand clasp become their method of silent communication, with every squeeze or stroke providing vital information and emotional updates to the other."
Providing more explanation on the display, Judi revealed: "These touches are called tie-signs and Harry and Meghan’s tie-sign hand clasp here provides an entire conversation between them in a few small and barely visible movements.
"Harry leaves his hand dangling in a silent offer of a clasp and the speed and the sense of desperation that Meghan grabs it would have told him how in need of support she was feeling, despite the social smiles."
Judi added: "She scrunches her fingers around before upgrading the clasp to one with meshed fingers. This is more intimate and more binding than a normal handclasp.
"But even within that very tight clasp they both still keep up their non-verbal communication. Harry rubs her hand with his thumb in a gesture of reassurance and support. Interestingly her response is to mirror this emotional statement. Instead of just accepting his support she then rubs his hand with her thumb. This mutual, mirrored gesture suggests they were each equally vulnerable at this time and that each was offering support to the other."
Concluding her analysis, the expert revealed Harry's "final message". Judi said that his final message "could say ‘No, this is the time where I support you.’ He captures her ‘rubbing’ thumb in his as though taking control and making her feel safe and secure."
