Black Friday dehumidifier deals: We've picked out some of the best price drops
It's the best time of year to buy a dehumidifier and, if you've owned one before, the benefits are obvious.
Their primary function is to draw moisture out of the air and into its on-board tank, and that's great for preventing any damp problems, or even drying clothes more swiftly.
There are other benefits, too. A good dehumidifier will filter dust and allergens out of the air around you, and this can be great news for asthmatics, and people who suffer from other respiratory complications.
It's important to buy a dehumidifier that's up to its task. If you have large rooms with high ceilings, you'll need a fairly beefy one. Whereas if it's just for clearing up the air in an office, or small utility room, you can get away with a cheaper version.
Always remember to keep a check on the level of water in the tank - it's surprising how quickly they can fill - and follow the manufacturer's guidelines on filter maintenance.

Here's a list of some of the best Black Friday deals I've found on dehumidifiers of all shapes and sizes.
1. Pro Breeze 500ml Compact and Portable Mini Dehumidifier - was £39.99, now £33.74
Starting small, and certainly cheap, this mini dehumidifier will be ideal for small spaces, but don't expect miracles from its performance.
Pro Breeze 500ml Compact and Portable Mini DehumidifierIt's clearly simple to use, and definitely seems popular with buyers - the reviews on Amazon are very strong.
It looks like it'll be great for wardrobes, airing cupboards, desktops or even window condensation - but it's not going to be suitable for entire rooms. Good price though.
2. Dr. Prepare 1000ml Dehumidifier - was £46.99, now £39.94
Stepping up in size, without a huge jump in price, this one contains a litre of water and will take up very little space in the corner of a small room.
Dr. Prepare 1000ml DehumidifierRunning at just 23 watts, it won't be an expensive thing to run, but that's likely to mean it's not extremely powerful.
It's nice to see, that said, that it comes with an air purifier. So this is perhaps a good device to have in a child's room, or maybe in an office.
3. Conopu 2300ML Dehumidifier - was £73.99, now £55.99
Another Amazon Black Friday deal, with a decent discount, for what looks like a very competent dehumidifier.
It's also good to see a clear water container, which will make it nice and easy to keep an eye on the amount of moisture it's drawing from the air.
Conopu 2300ML DehumidifierIt looks like it's going to be powerful enough to keep small rooms dry, but don't expect any miracles at this price. Reviewers have also said it can be complicated to set up timers.
Aldi fans go wild for 'beautiful' £20 mirror that's cheaper than Dunelm and B&Q
But as an all-rounder, it looks really good for the price.
4. B&Q 10L Dehumidifier - was £135, now £95
B&Q has knocked £40 off the price of this 10-litre dehumidifier, and it's the first one on this list that looks like it would cope with more than just some light duties. This is the sort of appliance that really could keep a room dry.
B&Q 10L DehumidifierIt claims to have an extraction rate of 400ml/hour, which is impressive for less than £100. A two-litre tank is handy, too.
The guidelines say it can cope with rooms up to 20 sq m, and it should be pretty competent at drying up small loads of laundry.
Reviewers weren't keen on the instruction manual, but dehumidifiers tend to be fairly easy to set up.
5. Salter EH3598MOB 4-in-1 Heater, Air Cooler, Purifier & Humidifier - was £149.99, now £96.99
An even bigger saving from Currys for this branded, full-sized dehumidifier with four functions in one. Don't be fooled by the air cooler, this isn't an air-conditioning system, but it looks like a brilliant dehumidifier and purifier.
Salter EH3598MOB 4-in-1 Heater, Air Cooler, Purifier & HumidifierAs an 1800w heater, it's likely to do a good job in a cold room, and the cooler works on evaporation of ice packs - which won't cool a room, but it will give you a refreshing breeze. I also like the swing function, which will oscillate the air.
The dehumidifier is pretty powerful, so it should cope well in medium to large-sized rooms, and you get all this for less than £100. What a good deal.
6. Humsure 20L Dehumidifier - was £199.99, now £148
This looks like a serious bit of kit, and there's a really big saving on the list price at the moment.
Its claimed 20l/day capacity, along with a large water tank should mean it's ready for most large rooms, and it's likely to be very efficient at drying clothes, too.
Humsure 20L DehumidifierIt also has a smart humidity sensor, that will turn on when the moisture levels reach a certain amount.
Buyers seem to love its performance in the reviews they've left, although a few point out it is quite loud.
7. De'Longhi DEX214F Dehumidifier - was £264.99, now £199.99
This one could be a really good bargain if you're after a hefty dehumidifier for large rooms, or large loads of washing.
A 14-litre per day capacity is all you need for most applications, and at 37db, it's pretty quiet, too.
De'Longhi DEX214F DehumidifierIts laundry mode setting is really useful - this will tailor its function to just focus on drying clothes, rather than the room around it, and the carrying handle looks like a neat addition.
This one also has great reviews from buyers, with a 4.6-star rating overall.
8. Woods MDK26 Dehumidifier - was £410, now £230
Getting pricey now, but still a huge Black Friday saving for this monster-spec dehumidifier, which will cope with pretty much any room size.
Woods MDK26 DehumidifierA flow rate of 186 m³/h is impressive, and a room capacity of up to 80 sq m is amazing.
At 48db it's perhaps a bit noisy, but that's no surprise given its 260w of power.
I like the fact it has a built-in timer, and the three-year warranty is great for peace of mind.
