Taking part in optical illusions is great way to find out more about your 'true' personality. Often they'll present an image, showing something that can be seen in multiple ways - and whichever object or animal you see first will tell a lot about you as a person, highlighting specific character traits. They're fun to try with friends and family, and unlike brainteasers, there usually isn't a competitive element to them.

In an optical illusion from @psychologylove100 on TikTok, you're asked to look at an image and decide what you see. Depending on what you see first can speak volumes about "what affects you most" in your life.

"If you first saw a rodent, then you're most afraid of humiliation and ridicule", the TikTok video claimed. "Pity and mockery are the worst things for you. It often robs you of your confidence and value as a human being. You always strive to be independent, and self-reliant. The idea of having to ask someone for help and being dependent on them is extremely difficult for you.

"You're afraid of losing control of your life. You don't want anyone else to have any influence over you. You're very committed to your personal development and put a lot of energy into it. At work, you're the one who takes responsibility. Just because you don't take it personally doesn't mean you'll do anything. You invest your time, and yourself into making every task a reality."

But if you see a face, it means your greatest fear is "loneliness." The voiceover said: "You need to be surrounded by those you love. Without them, you feel the ground crumble beneath your feet. You treat others as a kind of insurance. You usually manage just fine without others, but you need to know that you have someone to rely on when you need them. When you're alone, you're paralysed by fear."
