A mother-of-five recently told of the moment she woke up early on Friday 3 November with the strongest of feelings that she had to buy a National Lottery ticket - only to win £1million on the Millionaire Maker feature just hours later. Ceri Ann Roscoe-Roberts, 42, from Bangor acted on her ‘Friday feeling’ and immediately rolled over in bed, took her phone off her bedside table and purchased a EuroMillions ticket online. She discovered she had won on the Saturday as she got out of bed - but had initially forgotten that she had entered the draw. Ceri said: “There was just something telling me when I woke on Saturday morning that I had won big on The National Lottery. It was the strangest feeling ever! I picked up my phone and looked at my emails and there was one saying there was news about my ticket.
“I logged into my National Lottery account and there was the confirmation, I was indeed a millionaire! I had to pinch myself as I thought I was somehow in the middle of a dream and none of this was actually real.” Ceri continued: “When I realised I wasn’t dreaming, I turned to my husband, Paul, and screamed – ‘we’re millionaires!’ He is a very laid back person and told me to calm down and to let him check. He then went on to the National Lottery website on his own phone and cross-checked the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker code to confirm we really were winners.”
Ceri, a registered manager of a domiciliary care company and Paul, 45, a golf course manager, say they have no plans to give up work. However, they do have plans to buy a new, larger house and treat themselves to a new car each.
