Emmerdale fans 'rumble' Rhona baby twist as affair 'sealed' after tragic death
Emmerdale viewers think they've worked out a major new twist involving Rhona Goskirk after a shocking death aired this week.
Rhona is tipped for a possible baby twist as well as an affair, viewers have predicted, after a devastating plot kicked off on Thursday. Rhona was stunned over the return of her ex partner Gus earlier this year, who dropped a bombshell on her about their frozen embryos from when they were together years ago.
Gus revealed he had not had them destroyed as planned and asked if he could have access to them, as he and his wife Lucy wanted to have a baby together but were struggling to conceive. Rhona contemplated this but said no, only for Gus to forge her signature and go ahead with using them.
Rhona's husband Marlon Dingle learned last month that Lucy was now heavily pregnant after she and Gus used the embryos, and earlier this week Rhona confronted them after learning the truth. But events took a tragic turn after Gus and Lucy tried to flee only for her to go into labour.
In a tragic twist Lucy died after giving birth to a baby girl, leaving Gus shocked and grief-stricken. Rhona was also devastated, especially as Gus blamed her for his wife's death.

Emmerdale viewers believe an affair and a major split could be on the cards (ITV)Ahead of upcoming scenes revealing Rhona and Gus clash once more as Rhona goes to the hospital to see the baby, Friday's episode revealed a new twist. In the fallout to Lucy's death, Rhona began lashing out before confiding in her mother Mary about her feelings.
She was torn over the baby given it was her embryo used, as she reeled from the events of the week. As the episode came to an end though, Rhona was seen secretly heading to the hospital before visiting the ICU to see the baby.
So will Rhona want to be a part of her life, and what will it mean for her and Marlon? Viewers are convinced the plot will lead to Rhona raising the baby either alone or with Marlon, while others think it could lead to an affair for Rhona and Gus - sparking a split with Marlon.
Taking to social media, one viewer said: "I wonder if Rhona will end up bringing up Lucy & Gus's child?" Another said: "Rhona will take baby and Marlon wont want it because it ties Rhona to Gus forever," as a third added: "Now there is no going back with this one. Rhona is definitely not going to be leaving Gus to raise this Baby by himself. And they will get close. Poor Marlon."
A fourth viewer said: "Are the writers going to set up a shock affair between Rhona and Gus? Gus wife died but Rhona & Gus baby is born. The writers use the child as a way to bring Gus & Rhona together? A child bonds people. How will Marlon feel about this? Get sense Gus cause more trouble."
