Aside from her royal duties, doting mother-of-three The Princess of Wales has plenty of responsibilities at home. Kate, who enjoys a number of hobbies, says one home activity is key for her and the couple's three children.

Prince William and Kate, both 41, love to keep busy with sporting activities - together and separately. The couple enjoy skiing, going on bikes rides, and playing tennis together. Kate, who is a patron for the The All England Law Tennis and Croquet Club, spoke on Mike Tindall's podcast Taking to The Good, The Bad, and The Rugby, recently and confessed she has found a passion in cold water swimming.

Aside from sport, the princess enjoys photography, gardening, and conducting children's charity work. But one thing her and William differ on is cooking. Kate loves to cook and often gets the children involved at home, while her husband previously admitted he isn't the most gifted in the kitchen.

Back in 2019, she revealed on an official engagement that she regularly cooks with her children, which is a lot more normal than many people would imagine the future Queen to be. There is also one meal in particular that is claimed to be one of Prince William's favourites, that Kate regularly makes for him - roasted chicken.

In 2012, royal author Katie Nicholl said: "In the evenings, she indulges her hobby of cooking William's favourite supper, roast chicken. That's their idea of the perfect night."

Kate explained that she loves a spicy curry. But, when making a hot curry she had to to adapt her cooking method to William's intolerance. Previously speaking on BBC Radio One, the princess said: "I like the spice so I have to sort of cook the curry and then add the spice, extra spice at the end," once his portion is served up.

The Princess of Wales has instilled her cooking passion into her children too - getting them to cook at home and become fond of healthy foods. Kate previously told Mary Berry that her three children enjoy eating their greens. She said: "We've got carrots, beans, beetroot - a massive favourite - Louis absolutely loves beetroot."

After visiting Lavender Primary School in Enfield in 2019, teacher Matthew Kleiner-Mann told People Magazine that Katherine had discussed how she loves to cook with her children.

He said: "She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her. They made cheesy pasta the other day. One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in. And they make salads and stuff."

According to Vanity Fair: "When Kate or the housekeeper are preparing meals in the kitchen, Charlotte will set up shop next to them, 'her own toy set by her side to imitate.'"
