iPhone user shares 'fool-proof' trick that gives you 'unlimited' battery life
iPhone users will be all-too-familiar with the dreaded 'low battery' notification that leaves them scrambling for a charger or power bank - but one tech whizz says he has a trick which will give you unlimited power.
If your phone seems to be running out quicker than usual, there's one setting that you might want to change, according to TikTok user 'T-Sply', who said he knows an easy way to "maximise battery life".
This involves reducing the amount of white point, which is used to manage contrast between colours on the screen. All you need to do first is go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
From there, go to Accessibility, then Display & Text Size and go to the slider on 'Reduce White Point'. The more you want to save your battery, the higher you will want to put the slider. Reducing white point means your screen will go darker the next time you reduce the brightness of your device, which saves you battery. You can do this by swiping down from the top of your screen to open the Control Centre. From there, locate the "sun" icon and move the slider down.
There's another battery saving trick that has also been popular among iPhone users. This involves the "Wi-Fi Assist" feature, which allows Apple users to use mobile data as back-up when networks lag behind. This can be incredibly helpful when you're using streaming services on the bus or downloading a file in a remote area - but handset owners should also be aware that it can also kill battery life, and the tool is now automatically enabled on all iPhones.

To check to see if yours is activated head to the "Settings" menu before tapping on the "Mobile Data" tab. There you'll find your personal hotspot information as well as insights on how data is used for different apps on the iPhone. To find Wi-Fi Assist toggle, you'll need to scroll all the way to the bottom. It will be just above "iCloud Drive". If you want to turn this feature off you can just tap the toggle once so it goes from green to grey. This change will be saved automatically.
