Jonnie Irwin is back in hospital days before 50th birthday celebrations
Jonnie Irwin has shared he is back in hospital again following his terminal cancer diagnosis.
The A Place In The Sun presenter is due to celebrate his 50th birthday on November 18 – though he admits it’s a day he didn’t think he would live to see. But his plans to mark the milestone may have to be put on hold if doctors say he can’t travel to Spain.
TV star Jonnie has been bravely documenting his health battle since receiving the devastating news he had lung cancer in 2020, which has now spread to his brain. Giving fans his latest update, he posted a photo of himself in his pyjamas putting his feet up in a hospital bed. A clip of him on TV could be seen in the background.
In the caption he revealed he was initially admitted to hospital on Friday with jaundice, but doctors had since found other health issues. He wrote: “Back in hospital been in since Friday with jaundice. I had a fever and acute stabbing pain in my right hand side. Turns out I probably had an infection and other issues which I won’t bore you with.”
