Jadon Sancho is being lined up for a lucrative switch to the Saudi Pro League once the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

Sancho, 23, is currently banished from all first-team facilities at Manchester United after calling out Erik ten Hag on social media over comments relating to poor training performances. The £73million forward, who only joined United in the summer of 2021, has since refused to apologise to his manager and has not featured for the club since August.

Unsurprisingly, United are understood to be willing to move Sancho on in the winter transfer window in light of his feud with Ten Hag - and it now appears as though he will have the option to join the growing number of high-profile stars playing in the Middle East.

According to a new report from The Telegraph, clubs in Saudi Arabia have identified Sancho and Tottenham forward Richarlison as attainable targets ahead of the 2024 window given that the likes of Mohamed Salah will be unavailable for transfer mid-season.

Sancho was the subject of interest from Saudi Pro League clubs earlier this season but showed no appetite to make such a move. It remains to be seen, though, whether or not his stance would soften in the wake of his current situation at Old Trafford.

Regardless of whether or not Sancho would entertain a move to Saudi Arabia in the New Year, it looks increasingly likely that his future lies away from Manchester United.

A report from The Sun over the weekend claimed that Sancho is one of three underperforming players that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is willing to part company with once his deal for a 25 per cent minority stake in his boyhood club is confirmed.

The Ineos chief, 71, has agreed terms of a £1.3billion deal with the Glazers which will give him control of sporting operations at Old Trafford. He is already searching for a new sporting director as he bids to overhaul United's current recruitment strategy.

While former Monaco chief Paul Mitchell has been touted as a candidate for said role, Crystal Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman is also of interest, per The Star.

The former Nottingham Forest manager boasts an impressive record in the transfer market during his premiership with the south Londoners and would be able to hit the ground running with a working knowledge of the Premier League.
